{"id":159,"date":"2010-12-02T23:10:50","date_gmt":"2010-12-03T03:10:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.inappropriategirl.com\/?p=159"},"modified":"2010-12-02T23:10:50","modified_gmt":"2010-12-03T03:10:50","slug":"the-difference-a-smile-makes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.inappropriategirl.com\/?p=159","title":{"rendered":"The Difference a Smile Makes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I left kiss-and-ride this morning feeling a bit more positive about the whole experience.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t necessarily a better experience than yesterday&#8217;s &#8211; drier, to be sure, but still the same hot mess that kiss-and-ride will always be.\u00a0 No, the thing that made the morning drop-off just a little better was saying hi to Mrs. L.\u00a0 She&#8217;s worked with all of my kids, but especially with the Son and the Youngest.\u00a0 She&#8217;s made their lives so much easier and we always know they&#8217;re safe when they are with her.<\/p>\n<p>She always has a smile for us, but today she looked a little flustered too.\u00a0 She confessed that she drew a blank for a moment and forgot my last name.\u00a0 I laughed and told her that her brain was probobly just frozen from standing out in the cold and that we loved her always.\u00a0 It was a funny exchange that made the morning seem a bit brighter.\u00a0 Thank goodness for people who make us smile and laugh.\u00a0 It makes such a difference in a day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank goodness for people who make us smile and laugh.
